Prior to its incorporation as a separate entity in 1997, CIBI Information Inc. (CIBI) was one of the major units of Credit Information Bureau Inc. (now CIBI Foundation Inc.) engaged in the supply of business information and credit services. Credit Information Bureau Inc., a non-stock, non-profit organization, started in 1982 as a creation of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (Philippine Central Bank), the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines.

For over 20 years, CIBI has been servicing the information requirements of companies from the commercial, financial and industrial sectors locally. It also has the capability to obtain information from around the world through its network of international correspondents and subscribers.

CIBI Information Inc., is a member of the CreditAlliance of the Coface Group and the American Collectors Association (ACA).
